The SA Kawasaki BCperformance race team was born out of Bikesconnect’s managing director Kelvin Reilly’s passion for motorcycle road racing. Although a new team to the Australian motorcycle racing scene, we have extensive knowledge and great potential with over 20 years experience around the racing paddocks the world over. Now in our 3rd year of competition, in 2015 we will be competing in the Australiasian Superbike Championship and selected rounds of the Australian Superbike Championship in the Superbike, Supersport and Ninja 300 categories.

With support from our partners; SA Motorcycles, Kawasaki Australia, Iceberg Enterprises, Giocia Design and of whom all make it possible for the team to get on the grid. So please head over to our partners page to check them out.

Racing in a high profile championship and against the toughest competition in Australia means we need to have excellent quality components on our racing bikes. So we choose: DNA Air filters, Ixil exhausts, Venhill brake lines, SBS brake pads, Ipone oils, Fibrezone Composites, Moto-Tron rearsets and tyre warmers and Translogic Quickshifters. Whilst the team are dressed in TKD Jeans and Held Apparel

It takes a group of dedicated and highly motivated individuals to keep the team running smoothly, take a look at our team below:

Kelvin Reilly

Ronnie Grainger

Another Pomm in the team! Ronnie has been in Australia for over 20 years and has been involved in Motorcycle racing for nearly twice as long. Coming from Leicestershire in the UK, Ronnie grew up not for from the Iconic Mallory Park race circuit and started racing as soon as he was old enough too. Having a keen interest in the mechanical side Ronnie always built and prepared his own machines and never stopped when he moved to Australia.

Tyre Tech - Jimmy Broadbent

The youngest member of the team. Jimmy has been with the BCperformance since the start of 2014, he is fascinated about motorcycles ever since he was given his first bike at 6 years old and is currently an apprentice technician. His duties are to make sure all the technicians have their tyres ready and fitted to wheels when needed. To make a level playing field, each rider has a strict allocation of tyres which is scrutineered by series organisers. Jimmy is also the pit signaller during all practice, qualifying and races.
